Explore Sahyadri
I am sharing some HATKE places in Western Ghats. The one I am sharing today is totally new.
This is extreme part of Maval . This is a very good nature trail for one day. You can easily explore this new place within one day , without lengthy walks.
The Base village is SAWLA, for which you have to travel almost 35 kilometers from KANHE PHATA on old Pune Mumbai road, which is after Talegaon. This 35 kilometers travel after KanhePhata is wonderful.The road to Sawla Village goes along mountains, which has wind mills all the way.

above pics are from the way to Sawla Village. Sahyadris are best experienced during mansoon or soon after it. but I explored this place in December , when it was cold enough to feel pleasant.
As soon as you reach base village Sawla , Theres a small school, from where a hardly one and half kilometers of trail takes you to the Konkan edge of Sahyadri, all you have to do is climb a very small hill
Above pics are from the small hill that you climb. It is full of grass, and of course most beautiful in monsoon.
As soon as you reach the edge of the hill, you are spellbound, because a beautiful and breathtaking view of Sahyadri Valley makes you stunned. Here is what you see from the edge of the hill.
This Valley is adjecent to Bhimashankar Valley and this beautiful jungle falls in Bhimashankar Forest Range.
That literally means that , if you walk through this jungle and keep on walking you will reach Bhimashankar.
This valley is least explored by trekkers , and this view of valley has been posted by me , for the first time.
If you dare and if you are prepared to trek down the valley and enter these dense forest, it is possible. Experience and daring is all that you need. But if you want to satisfy your eyes and mind, you can just sit here on this spot and enjoy the silence , fresh air, and the sahyadri bliss as much as you want, and then head back to your home.
For reaching Sawla village you can reach by your own bike travelling almost 70 kilometer from Pune. or you can catch a local train to Kanhe directly and from here you can catch a local ST bus to sawla, a Talegaon-Sawla ST bus is also avaible. If you set your trip by 5am from Pune you can have breakfast at a village Takwe. and proceed further to sawla. Theres a lot to explore in this beautiful unexplored part of Sahyadri.

Most of the times i trek alone. cos i dont get the right person to explore without any restrictions. after this trek i did 10 more treks , much more intresting than this. But i didnt make a blog. May be i will make some day. if you are a serious trekker and want to explore unseen sahyadri , you are always welcome.
